Who stands behind your windows
Two warranties cover every job: the manufacturer's on the product, and ours on the installation. Here are both, with the actual terms and where they come from.
The product
The manufacturer warrants the shutter, shade, or blind against defects. Terms differ by product family and are listed below.
The installation
661 Shutters & Shades warrants its installation workmanship for 12 months. If we hung it wrong, we fix it free.
Service after that
A flat $195 service call after month 12, disclosed before we schedule. Manufacturer parts stay covered on their terms.
Manufacturer warranties, by product
We name who builds each product because the warranty is theirs. 661 Shutters & Shades is your point of contact for every claim; the manufacturer repairs or replaces the product.

12-month installation workmanship warranty
Installation-related defects — a shade that was mounted out of level, a shutter frame that was not squared, a bracket that pulled — are corrected at no charge for 12 months from the installation completion date.
Not covered: manufacturer product defects (those go to the manufacturer program above), normal settling and wear, damage by someone else, environmental conditions, and changes from remodeling.
After 12 months, service visits are billable at a flat $195 per visit. That covers the trip, labor, and coordination for adjustments, part swaps, and reinstalls, including manufacturer-warranty parts where the manufacturer covers the part but not the labor.
An optional Care Plan adds scheduled tune-ups; its terms are confirmed separately and are never a hidden line on your quote.

How to file a claim
- Text (818) 665-7244 or email hello@661shuttersandshades.com with photos of the issue and your install address.
- We respond within one business day and classify it: manufacturer warranty, installation workmanship, or billable service. Any fee is disclosed before anything is scheduled.
- Manufacturer claims are submitted with your proof of purchase. We coordinate the repair or replacement; the manufacturer sets approval, part availability, and turnaround, which we cannot guarantee.
- If it is outside every warranty, we still help: we quote a fair repair using the same product and the same installers.
Who is covered
Manufacturer warranties run to the original purchaser for as long as they own the property where the product was installed, and are not transferable. If you sell your home, contact us before closing and we will do what we can for the new owner.
The fine print
This page is a plain-English summary. Each manufacturer's written warranty governs claims on its products, and the Warranty & Service Policy you sign with your contract governs installation and service. No manufacturer warranty covers labor, trip charges, shipping, measuring, or reinstallation; those are either inside our 12-month workmanship warranty or billed at the service rate above. Some states do not allow limits on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so some limits may not apply to you. Terms of service.
